BAT Australia are looking for a Campaign Innovation & Hypercare Manager to join thier team!

The Campaign Innovation and Hypercare Manager plays a pivotal role in CORA  (Corpoarte & Regulatory Affairs) campaigns, connecting digital and innovative solutions to ensure campaign success within the Asis Pacific , Middle East & Africa South Region. This role involves addressing various regulatory issues across the region, including product regulations, fiscal matters, and customer and third-party engagement. Additionally, the Manager provides hands-on support and resources to DRBU end markets during critical campaign phases. Responsibilities also include preparing high-level submissions to inquiries and industry forums, and fostering community support for A Better Tomorrow principles among key stakeholders. The role further involves supporting local and regional reporting processes, with a focus on driving metric-based reporting and benchmarking.


Key Accountabilities:

Business:

  • Lead drafting processes for key government submissions and enhance industry participation.
  • Support APMEA South CORA teams in automating and simplifying campaign plans.
  • Assist the Head of Regulatory Campaigns in coordinating stakeholders and tracking progress.
  • Manage internal data and refine capabilities to enhance efficiency in reporting channels.
  • Provide additional hands-on support to end markets across the APMEA South DRBU as required.
  • Identify strategic opportunities for BAT to simplify and automate campaigns, including support for external stakeholders.

Campaign:

  • Develop and coordinate campaign innovation solutions.
  • Offer expertise and solutions for digital campaign content.
  • Collaborate with digital, communications, and activation teams.
  • Provide campaign assistance across all DRBU end markets as needed.

People:

  • Support DRBU and EM Government Affairs teams in delivering key milestones for priority campaigns.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally within the business and CORA team to inform key stakeholders of proposed restrictions, prioritize actions, and provide progress updates.


Critical Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

  • Exposure to government affairs and external political environments is desirable but not essential.
  • Knowledge of FMCG industry growth dynamics is desirable but not essential.
  • Experience in digital, automation, and innovation is desirable.
  • Experience in dealing with stakeholders on controversial and complex issues.
  • Advanced communication skills – written, oral, and interpersonal, with the ability to influence diverse audiences.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with peers, senior management, and external stakeholders.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office capabilities, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong analytical, tactical, and planning skills with a creative problem-solving approach.
  • Business focus and a general understanding of the FMCG environment, including industry sensitivities and complexities.
  • Ability to translate intangible ideas into practical implementation.
  • Awareness of tobacco-related social issues.
