British American Tobacco UK has an exciting opportunity for a Sustainability Reporting Specialist in Globe House, London – 12 months (subject to project timelines)
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Sustainability Reporting Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD).
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Reporting and Compliance: Support the Sustainability Reporting team in ensuring compliance with CSRD regulations and other relevant sustainability reporting requirements such as ISSB and TNFD. Prepare and submit accurate and timely dashboards and sustainability reports.
- Data Analysis: Interpret data related to sustainability metrics. Support the Sustainability Reporting team to ensure integrity of disclosures.
- Internal Stakeholder Engagement : Support the Sustainability Reporting team in gathering information and feedback, address queries, and provide insights on sustainability performance.
- Documentation and Communication: Develop clear and comprehensive documentation for sustainability practices and performance to inform key judgments.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement best practices for sustainability reporting. Stay updated on industry trends, standards, and regulations.
- Assurance and Verification: Support the coordination of the assurance process and verify the accuracy of sustainability disclosures.
What are we looking for?
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business, or a related field is required. Relevant certifications in sustainability reporting are a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in sustainability reporting, ESG, or a related area. Experience with CSRD compliance is highly desirable.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in sustainability reporting software and tools. Strong research and data analysis skills, and familiarity with ESG frameworks and standards are a plus.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.
- Collaboration: Strong ability to work collaboratively in a team and with cross-functional departments.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in data collection, analysis, and reporting.
- Team Player: Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Strong interpersonal skills.
